With opaque inside and outside layers, the middle layer is the game changer; coloured black, it blocks out 100% of light. Also key to the design was ensuring the HDPE bottle preserved the nutritional value and taste of its contents while still remaining light weight and recyclable.
The World Dairy Innovation Awards were announced at a gala dinner during the 8th Global Dairy Congress in Istanbul, Turkey. The judging panel considered almost 160 entries from 30 countries in 17 categories.

The awards categories range from products including Best cheese and Best yoghurt, to Best dairy drink and Best functional dairy product; plus categories for brands; ingredients; packaging; design; manufacturing and processing; sustainability; and marketing and communications.
