Pact Group wins 2020 WorldStar Packaging Award for Lewis Road’s rPET Milk Bottle Range

New Zealand’s Lewis Road Dairy’s post-consumer sourced 100% recycled plastic polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) milk bottle range is an Australasian first in its category and equates to approximately 340 tonnes of plastic per annum that has been reused and diverted from landfill.

The WorldStar Packaging Awards Competition is one of the major events of the World Packaging Organisation (WPO) and is the pre-eminent international award in packaging. The WorldStar Awards celebrate the continual advancement of the state of packaging design and technology.

Judging for the 2020 Awards took place in Bali, Indonesia, where representatives from 36 international packaging associations, judged 321 packaging projects, from 36 countries. The 2020 winners will be honoured at the prestigious WorldStar Awards Presentations and Gala Evening Dinner to be held during Interpack, Dusseldorf, Germany on 8 May, 2020.

Lewis Road’s rPET Milk Bottle has received numerous industry accolades including winning the 2019 Australian Packaging and Processing Innovation and Design Award (PIDA’s) in both the Sustainable Packaging Design and Beverage categories.
